Contact the Managers of an Exchange Distribution Group

Overview

This article describes how to contact the managers of an Exchange distribution group (EDG).

Groups you belong to

STEP 1

Go to https://groups.sfu.ca and select Your Group Memberships on the left side.

Find the group whose managers you want to contact in the Exchange Distribution Groups section and click the Contact Managers button. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Note: This page shows groups 50 at a time; if the group you are looking for is not immediately visible, use the next/previous page buttons to load additional groups, or use the search box to search for the group name.

STEP 3

A dialog box will appear where you can enter a subject and a message. This message will be sent by email to the manager(s) of the Exchange distribution group. You will also receive a copy of the message. 

Complete both the subject and message, and click Submit.

Search for a group

To send a message to the manager(s) of an Exchange distribution group that you may or may not belong to, you can search for the group.

STEP 1

Enter the name of the group in the Find Exchange Distribution Group search box on the left. You can add a partial or exact match. Do not include @sfu.ca in your search.

STEP 2

Locate the group you are looking for in the search results and click the Contact Managers button.

Note: This page shows groups 50 at a time; if the group you are looking for is not immediately visible, use the next/previous page buttons to load additional groups, or use the search box to search for the group name. Exchange distribution groups that have the "Hidden from GAL" setting disabled will not be revealed in search.

STEP 3

A dialog box will appear where you can enter a subject and a message. This message will be sent by email to the manager(s) of the Exchange distribution group. You will also receive a copy of the message. 

Complete both the subject and message, and click Submit.
