Server Hosting

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

IT Services offers virtual servers as a lower-cost alternative to physical servers. This service takes advantage of virtualization technology to host multiple virtual servers, each of which function as a complete and independent server, on a single physical server.

Two categories of virtual systems are offered:

  • Managed – provisioned and fully managed by IT Infrastructure
  • Unmanaged – provisioned by IT Infrastructure but managed by the respective owner/requestor (full admin privilege is handed over to the owner). IT Infrastructure will monitor and full restore from backup (re-provisioning) for Windows machines

Currently supported Operating Systems include:Red Hat Enterprise Linux x86_64Ubuntu Server 64-bitWindows Server 2008Windows Server 2012

Hosting of physical servers is also available with the same categories as above.
