Wired Connectivity

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

IT Services provides wired Ethernet connectivity across all buildings and campuses of the University. Most offices, meeting rooms, lecture theatres, labs and many public areas have jacks installed in face plates that can be used to connect to the campus network. However, as there are tens of thousands of network jacks, not all of them are activated. Additionally, there are a number of different networks used throughout the University.

RESOURCES

One-off network activations or network changes on existing cabling infrastructure is normally provided free of charge in most cases.

Multiple connections, activations as part of a project or scenarios for which there is no existing cabling infrastructure, will need to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and will likely incur additional charges.
