Overview
This article describes how to remove a Wi-Fi profile on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and how to forget a wireless network on an Android device and Windows computer. It is an initial troubleshooting step if you're having difficulty connecting to the SFUNET-SECURE or eduroam networks.
For iPhone, iPad, or Mac, a profile is installed when you use cloudpath.its.sfu.ca to connect to the SFUNET-SECURE or eduroam networks. An invalid profile or expired certificate will prevent your device from connecting successfully.
Details
Remove a Wi-Fi profile
If you do not see a Profile, see Forget a Network.
iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings
- Go to General > VPN & Device Management.
- Look for a profile called SFU Wi-Fi.
- Tap the profile and select Remove Profile.
- If prompted, enter the device passcode.
Mac
- Click the Apple menu and select System Settings.
- Go to General > Device Management
- Look for a profile called SFU Wi-Fi.
- Click the minus (-) button.
- Enter your Mac’s administrator password if prompted.
Forget a network
For devices that don't have a Wi-Fi profile, you can forget the network and then try re-connecting as an initial troubleshooting step:
Windows 10/11
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Click Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Click Manage known networks.
- Select the SFUNET-SECURE network (if present):
- Click Forget.
- Repeat for eduroam
iPhone, iPad, or Mac

Re-connect to SFU networks
Once you've removed the Wi-Fi profile or forgotten the network from your device, follow Connecting to Wireless Networks Using Automatic Setup (all devices) for instructions to re-connect your device.
