Purchasing Additional Microsoft Services at SFU

OVERVIEW

This page outlines the instructions to purchase additional Microsoft services that are not included in SFU's campus agreement (e.g., Visio Plan 2, Project Plan 3, etc.):

 

FACULTY AND STAFF

For faculty and staff, please select the type of device you are looking to purchase additional Microsoft services:

  1. University-owned and -managed computer(s)
  2. Individually owned computer(s) or computer(s) purchased via Professional Development funds

 

UNIVERSITY-OWNED AND -MANAGED

All university-managed devices are assigned with volume licenses that provides access to Microsoft services that are included in SFU's campus agreement: MS OfficeOneDrive, and MS Teams.

If you are looking to purchase additional Microsoft services that are not included in SFU's campus agreement (e.g., Visio Plan 2, Project Plan 3, etc.), please email software@sfu.ca.

 

INDIVIDUALLY OWNED

If you are looking to purchase additional Microsoft services that are not included in SFU's campus agreement (e.g., Visio Plan 2 , Project Plan 3, etc.) on your individual device:

  1. Get a quote from bcnet@compugen.com and indicate the specific license(s) you require from the following:
    1. Visio: EES Visio Plan 1 or Plan 2 (visit the Visio's subscription page for more info)
    2. Microsoft Project: EES Project Plan 1 or Plan 3 (visit the Project's subscription page for more info)
  2. Ask SFU Procurement to place the order for you.
  3. Once you received the invoice of your purchase, contact your department's IT support staff for assistance on installing the software.

Note: The license holder is responsible for any license renewals. 

 

STUDENTS

Students from some faculties and schools have access to additional Microsoft services via Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. For more information on licenses and eligibility, visit the Azure Dev Tools for Teaching page.
