WHAT IS MICROSOFT OFFICE?

Microsoft Office (or MS Office) is a collection of productivity tools that includes OutlookWordPowerPointExcel, and Publisher. Most applications within the Office suite are available on desktopmobile app, or on browsers via cloud services.

GETTING STARTED WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE

1. SIGN UP FOR AN SFU MICROSOFT 365 ACCOUNT

MS Office is available to all current SFU faculty, staff, and students with a Microsoft 365 account. Visit the Get Started page for instructions on how to sign up for an SFU Microsoft 365 account.

 

2. ACCESS MS OFFICE

Once your account is ready, you can access MS Office in the following ways:

  1. MS Office Web: Visit M365 Portal > Select any of the Office apps
  2. MS Office Desktop: Launch any of the Office software on your desktop (e.g., Word, Excel)
