OVERVIEW
Use this guide to access Adobe Creative Cloud applications at SFU. Students can sign in with an SFU Adobe ID to use Adobe software in identified IT computer labs and shared spaces. Personal device use is not included with student Adobe access.
What you'll need
- Access to an SFU computer lab where Adobe Creative Cloud is installed. Student licensing is limited to identified IT computer labs and some faculty/school spaces.
- An active SFU Adobe ID associated with your SFU computing ID (
computingID@sfu.ca). See Activate your SFU Adobe ID to learn how to create your account. It can take up to 24 hours to complete the process.
Steps to use Adobe in computing labs and shared spaces
- Launch Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application. The application may open a web browser to complete the login process.
- Enter your SFU email address (i.e., yourSFUcomputingID@sfu.ca) Continue on the Adobe Account login screen.
- Select Company or School Account.
- Enter your password and select Continue.
What to expect
- Access to Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Lightroom, and other Adobe CC titles installed in supported labs.
- Some Adobe features may not be available under SFU's Higher Education licensing agreement. Adobe Creative Cloud cloud services (such as fonts and in-app libraries) are not available under SFU's student licensing model.
- Adobe's Shared Device Licensing (SDL) for students does not allow for installation on personal devices

Cloud services are disabled under SFU's student licensing. You may still be able to access files through assets.adobe.com.
