Connecting to Wireless Networks Using Manual Setup (mac OS)

Overview

This article explains how to manually connect to SFUNET-SECURE and eduroam networks on your macOS computer. In most cases, the automatic setup process is preferred.

Details

1. Open System Preferences
2. Open Network settings
3. Select SFUNET-SECURE or eduroam
4. Enter your computingID@sfu.ca in the Username box
5. Enter your SFU password in the Password box
6. Check the box to Remember this network
7. Click Join
8. Click Connect
9. If asked to trust a certificate, tick the box to always trust the certificate.

You should now automatically connect to SFUNET-SECURE or eduroam networks across all SFU campuses when in range.
