Sign into Apple Mail for Mac

OVERVIEW

This article describes how to add your SFU Mail account to Apple Mail for Mac.

Note: After being migrated to the new SFU Mail with Exchange Online, your existing SFU account on Apple Mail won't be able to send or retrieve new emails.

SIGN IN

To sign into SFU Mail on Apple Mail for Mac:

  1. Launch Apple Mail.

  2. Select Microsoft Exchange, then Continue.
    Note: If you're not prompted to connect, see Add Another Account to Apple Mail below.

  3. Enter a name for your inbox and your SFU Email, SFUComputingID@sfu.ca. Then, select Sign In. When you're asked to sign into Microsoft Exchange, select Sign In.

  4. Enter your SFU Computing ID and password, then select Sign In. If you are enrolled in MFA, you'll be asked to enter your MFA code.

  5. Select the apps you'd like to sync with your SFU Mail account. Then, select Done.

    Note: Enabling Contacts will integrate your SFU Mail account contacts with your device's contacts. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Congratulations! You've sign into SFU Mail on Apple Mail for your Mac.

 

Add Another Account to Apple Mail

To add another account to Apple Mail:

  1. On Apple Mail, select Mail > Add Accounts.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. On the left sidebar, select Internet Accounts. Then, select Add Account.
